Amazing what you can do with pallets !

With permission from Swisco and approval from the Management Committee at long last our composting unit has taken shape ! It is situated to the rear of the clubhouse and will mean the unsightly and smelly jumbo bags will no longer pollute our green or restrict access for the wheelchair . It will also save the club around £400 per year as we currently have to pay £35 per time for removal . Once rotted down we will have a steady supply of compost not only for our borders but also for club members who are keen gardeners. Thank you to Keith Tremblett and Keith Osborne for their work in building the structure, and thanks too to Matt Bemand for the supply of pallets for free - very much appreciated.

GREEN TEAM GOES LARGE ...FOR A DAY

Many many thanks to the gang of volunteers who answered the call and gave the green team a hand . We spent Saturday morning 19 September, scarifying , cutting and lugging the green , gutter and outer grassed areas . Almost three cubic metres , well done people ! With thanks to Jeff , Steve , Darren, Tim , Matt , Richie and Alan from your Green Team of Julian , Graham and Keith ! - What a job .
