Our annual Presentation evening was held at the Berry Head Hotel on Saturday 29th November. It was well attended, we dined well and a great time was had by all. Trophies for all our internal competitions were presented by President Tug Wilson, with commemorative coasters to the runners up.
FINALS DAY 2025
We had a lovely weekend of bowling. The weather was great, the green bowled really well and for the spectators that turned up, we were treated to some really good bowling.
For all those competitors that won, well done and for all those that did not, 2026 could be your year.

HALLOWEEN PARTY 2025
Every year we have a Halloween Party and this year was no exception. Everyone got into the spirit (pun!) and dressed up as ghouls, vampires, witches and other assorted nasties. (See our ‘Ghouls Gallery’ below) Fozzie provided the music and a music bingo, and our coven of ladies provided an excellent chilli and baked potato. A great time was had by all
LADIES V GENTS 2025
As is tradition, the last day of the bowling season is the annual Ladies v Gents match.
This year the theme was Hawaii, with players dressed in suitable costume and a background of Hawaiian music.
The weather was sunny and warm and the green was in excellent condition.
Despite the friendly banter it was a hard fought game, but after protests and recounts the match (as usual) was declared a draw!!!
On Saturday 19th July we held a fund raising social with an Abba/Mamma Mia theme.
Many members got into the spirit of the event, dressing up in various flamboyant costumes.
A few entertaining party games were led by new member Richie Luther. The raffle must have been one of our biggest to date and music as always provided by our resident DJ Steve ‘Fozzie’ Fosdike.
Everyone had a grand time, with around £300 raised at the event for this year’s Captains charity – Childrens Hospice South West.

Our VE Day celebration on Saturday 10th May 2025 was a great success.
Many members got into the spirit of the occasion, dressing up in varying 40’s costumes.
An assortment of games on the bowling green (aiming at goal, cricket, one-legged and wrong hand bowling etc) were followed by a cream tea, a 40’s quiz and 40’s music bingo.
Everyone had a grand time, with money raised for this year’s Captains charity – Childrens Hospice South West.
